Aaron Chamberlin
Aaron Chamberlin started in the restaurant industry at 15 as a dishwasher.
Captivated from a young age by an image of his grandfather in chef whites,
he left home to pursue his culinary education in San Francisco at the age of 19.
He spent a decade traveling and training under noted chefs including Michel
Richard, Jean-Georges Vongerichten and Nancy Oakes in culinarily-rich cities
such as San Francisco, New York and Boston. After years away, Aaron returned
to his hometown to work with the newly-formed La Grande Orange hospitality
group. He was involved in all facets of the business at LGO and was instrumental
in the development and opening of some of the brand’s most popular restaurants,
including La Grande Orange Pizzeria and Chelsea’s Kitchen.
Aaron’s experiences of culinary training and travel have imbued in him a respect
for simple and honest food. Partnering with his brother, David Chamberlin, Aaron
set out to create his own unique establishment inspired by his experiences.
St. Francis is the realization of his lifelong dream of owning a restaurant that
serves the community in which he was raised.
